INDRAMAYU REGENCY MUI HOLDS REGIONAL WORKING MEETING, INAUGURATION OF COMMISSIONS & INSTITUTIONS ON JULY 11, 2026

INDRAMAYU-JAYANEWS.COM – The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Indramayu Regency, under the leadership of Chairman KH. Syairozi Bilal, will hold a Regional Working Conference (Mukerda) in conjunction with the inauguration of commissions and institutions within the MUI’s organic apparatus in Indramayu Regency on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

The MUI Mukerda will take place at the Indramayu Islamic Center Mosque complex and will be attended by the Chairman of the MUI of West Java, the Indramayu Regency Government, and local government agencies within the Regency.

According to H. Adlan Daie, Secretary General of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Indramayu Regency, during a press conference on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, the Mukerda (Regional Conference) took the theme: “Serving the Ummah, Collaborating for the Benefit.”

He continued, explaining that the Mukerda material was divided into four commissions, coordinated by Moh. Tadri, M.Pd. and H. Agung Mardianto, S.Ag., M.Ag., with supervision by H. Mahfud, M.M., MBA, and H. Sulaiman Hasan, MA.

The four commissions—the Islamic Commission, the Social Commission, the Economic Commission, and the Recommendations—all serve as guidelines for the MUI Indramayu’s work in “Himayatul Ummah,” protecting the Ummah, “Khidmah” (Service to the Ummah), and “Sodiqul Hukum,” building partnerships with government agencies that provide mutual benefits.

Furthermore, H. Adlan Daie explained that on the same day, a gathering of Islamic organizations and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Indramayu Regency would be held to address community issues such as the increasing drug trafficking and the rise in LGBT practices.

“This activity is coordinated by Dr. H. Lutfi Harras and H. Dudung Badrun, S.H., MH,” he added.

The results of the Mukerda (Regional Working Meeting) and the main ideas of the gathering of Islamic organizations are expected to serve not only as input for the regional government and related agencies, but also as input for policy design, including budgetary policies, to ensure they are truly oriented towards the public interest. This is where the MUI’s relationship with government agencies comes into play.

“The relationship between the government and Islamic organizations must be mutually reinforcing for the public good. Religion without government support will weaken its social influence. Conversely, a government without the involvement of Islamic organizations will be fragile and could even undermine the foundations of morality in community life,” concluded H. Adlan Daie.**
