Themed “Recover Together, Grow Together,” the event featured a fun camping experience that lasted for two days, June 6–7, 2026, in Kuningan Regency, West Java.

A total of 22 children participated in the program. They were junior high school students in grades VII to IX from the Anjatan and Haurgeulis areas, consisting of three girls and 19 boys.

The Head of Lakpesdam PCNU Indramayu, Ali Ma’nawi, stated that this activity demonstrated the concern and participation of various parties for child victims of sexual violence.

According to him, psychological recovery is a crucial step to help children return to normal lives and be optimistic about the future.

“This activity aims to entertain and help restore the psychological well-being of child victims of sexual violence so that they maintain their self-confidence, regain their enthusiasm for achieving their dreams, and are no longer haunted by the fear of the events they experienced,” he told the media on Sunday (June 7, 2026).

He added that the involvement of Islamic boarding school leaders and NU cadres in this activity demonstrates a strong commitment to caring more for child victims of violence and preventing child marriage.

“Sexual violence against children is also a cause of child marriage, so in addition to addressing the trauma, this also aims to prevent child marriage,” explained Almak, as he is familiarly known.

During the activity, participants participated in various activities specifically designed to support the trauma recovery process. The approach used combines psychological aspects, religious spirituality, and recreational activities, packaged within the camping concept, creating a fun and comfortable atmosphere for the children.

Dwiana Widiyanti, M.Psi, a psychologist from the DP2KB-P3A of Indramayu Regency, stated that the results of the activity showed very positive progress. She noted that the participants’ enthusiasm was high from beginning to end.

“The results of this activity show very significant progress. The collaboration between psychological and religious approaches, packaged through camping, has proven very effective in entertaining and supporting the children’s recovery process. Those who previously showed signs of trauma now appear happier, more open, and more enthusiastic,” she explained.

She added that the success of the activity was due to the concern and collaboration of various parties, including religious leaders from Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), who provided guidance and moral support to the participants.

Through this trauma healing activity, Lakpesdam PCNU Indramayu, along with all parties, hopes that child victims of sexual violence will find a safe space to grow, recover from traumatic experiences, and return to the future with hope and confidence.**
