This is reflected in the active steps taken by Indramayu State Polytechnic to build global collaboration through a partnership with Yulin Vocational and Technical College at the 2026 Annual Conference of China-Indonesia TVET Industry-Education Alliance, which took place at the Innovation and Creativity Center (GIK), Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta on April 27-28, 2026.

The Director of Indramayu State Polytechnic, Ir. Rofan Aziz, S.T., M.T., IPM, told the media on Thursday, April 30, 2026, that this step is a concrete example of strengthening the role of vocational higher education institutions on the global stage.

“International collaboration like this is key to improving the quality of vocational education in Indonesia,” he said.

We believe that cross-border partnerships can encourage the transfer of knowledge and technology, and expand students’ access to global experiences relevant to industry needs.

CITIEA 2026 is a strategic forum that brings together vocational higher education institutions, businesses, and industry from Indonesia and China. This activity not only serves as a space for collaboration, but also as a platform for sharing best practices in developing vocational education relevant to future needs.

Furthermore, Ir. Rofan Aziz, S.T., M.T., IPM added, “International collaborations such as those undertaken in the CITIEA 2026 forum are an important momentum for vocational higher education institutions in Indonesia, including Polindra, to continue improving and strengthening their global networks. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that knowledge and technology transfer will be able to improve student competency, preparing them to compete internationally,” he said.
