Thousands Join Harmony Walk to Commemorate 80th Anniversary of Jombang Religious Affairs Ministry’s Service Day
JOMBANG-JAYA NEWS.COM – The Religious Affairs Ministry of Jombang Regency organized a harmony walk, or “Walk for Harmony,” as the culminating event of the 80th Charitable Service Day commemoration on Saturday morning (12/20/2025).
The activity was attended by thousands of participants from various segments of society.
The event, which started from the courtyard of the Scout Movement District Headquarters Training Center in Jombang, was attended by the Jombang Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB), the Head of Jombang Religious Court, the Head of Administration of the East Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, principals of madrasas across Jombang Regency, students, and members of the general public.
Before the harmony walk commenced, participants were treated to various performances by madrasa students. These included the traditional Remo dance, a fashion show featuring recycled materials, and a barongsai performance from Gudo Temple that enlivened the atmosphere.
The Head of the Jombang Regency Religious Affairs Ministry, Dr. H. Muhajir, S.Pd., M.Ag., in his speech expressed gratitude to all parties who contributed to the successful implementation of the event.
“From the banking sector, from our friends at the madrasas, the prizes are very abundant, including umrah packages. All prizes will be drawn, nothing will be left over,” he explained.
Muhajir added that in addition to the main prize of umrah packages for five people, numerous consolation prizes were also provided. These included five electric bicycles, mountain bikes, three refrigerators, a washing machine, and electric fans.
“There are five electric bicycles, mountain bikes, three refrigerators, a washing machine, and most importantly, we will draw five umrah packages,” said Muhajir to enthusiastic cheers from the harmony walk participants.
Following the speeches, thousands of harmony walk participants were flagged off by the Head of the Jombang Religious Affairs Ministry, accompanied by the Head of Administration of the East Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
This harmony walk activity is expected to strengthen interfaith bonds and reinforce the spirit of togetherness in Jombang Regency.**
