H. Elfian Officially Leads DPD IKM Indramayu, New Spirit to Unite
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – The DPD Ikatan Keluarga Minang (IKM) of Indramayu Regency has been officially inaugurated at a lively and meaningful event. H. Elfian Ali and his staff were inaugurated directly by the Chairperson of the DPW IKM West Java Joni MS Sikumbang Tuanku Sutan Sarialam, Saturday, May 31, 2025.
This event took place at the Nyi Endang Darma Ayu Building, attended by hundreds of members, community leaders, and other invitees. The warm and familial atmosphere was seen throughout the event, reflecting the spirit of unity upheld by the Minang family community.
The Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Joni Candra, in his remarks said that the Halalbihalal and Inauguration of the DPD IKM Indramayu Regency was attended by invited guests from various cities/regencies in West Java with an estimated mass of around 1000 people.
In his speech, H. Elfian Ali, SH., expressed his gratitude and thanks to all members who had given him their trust and helped make the Halalbihalal and Inauguration of the DPD IKM Indramayu a success.
He explained his vision and mission to bring the DPD Ikatan Keluarga Minang Indramayu to a better direction in the future.
“Our commitment is to maintain and preserve Minang culture in Indramayu, as well as build solidarity and togetherness in Minang families in Indramayu,” Alfian said.
He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between members to achieve common goals.
One of the important points conveyed at the event was the importance of the compactness of the administrators in running the organization.
“To all Minang Kabau residents living abroad, let us maintain and continue to build relationships with all the people around us, continue to hone our concern and empathy for others, and don’t forget to make a positive contribution to the development of the area where we are (Indramayu Regency-Ed),” concluded H. Elfian Ali.
In the same place, on his podium, the Chairman of the West Java IKM DPW, Joni MS Sikumbang Tuanku Sutan Sarialam congratulated the inauguration of the Indramayu IKM DPD, He advised that this inauguration is expected to be a new spirit for the Indramayu IKM Management in uniting the Minang family living abroad and making real contributions to the region, as the theme raised this time “Where the Earth is Stepped on, the Sky is Upheld”.
“Don’t forget, in West Java, the Minang people have played a role and built, namely becoming the number one person in West Java as Datuk Djamin did when he suddenly became Governor, that is what is called where the earth is stepped on there the sky is upheld,” concluded the Head of the West Java DPW Joni MS Sikumbang.
On that historic occasion, the Regent of Indramayu Lucky Hakim and Deputy Regent H. Syaefudin were also present to witness the inauguration and congratulated the inauguration of the DPD IKM Indramayu.
In his remarks, the Regent of Indramayu Lucky Hakim greatly appreciated the steps taken by the DPD IKM Indramayu in strengthening relations between members, especially Minang residents who are living away from home.
Lucky Hakim hopes that the DPD IKM Indramayu can have a positive impact on the community and the region, especially in making the programs of the Indramayu Regency Government a success.
After the main event, namely the inauguration of the DPD IKM Indramayu and speeches. The event was then continued with a friendly session, interspersed with Minang music entertainment and a cake auction.
Please note, this inauguration event was also enlivened by Minang cultural arts performances, such as the pasambahan dance and the plate dance. This is not only entertainment, but also a way to introduce Minang culture to the wider community in Indramayu.
With this inauguration, the DPD Ikatan Keluarga Minang Indramayu is expected to become a more active and productive forum in driving various activities that are beneficial to its members and the community in general.
