Sri Wahyuni Herman, Member of the West Java Provincial DPRD from the NasDem Party, Distributes Aid to Elderly Mothers and Stunted Children in Bojongsari Village
INDRAMAYU, Jaya News.Com – Sri Wahyuni Herman, a member of the West Java Provincial DPRD from the NasDem Party faction, has once again demonstrated her concern for vulnerable groups. She distributed social assistance to elderly mothers and stunted children in Bojongsari Village, Indramayu District, Indramayu Regency, West Java, on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
The assistance provided included basic food packages, special milk for toddlers, supplementary food, vitamins, and nutritional support equipment. The distribution was carried out directly by Sri Wahyuni Herman, accompanied by NasDem Party cadres and local village officials.
“These stunted children and elderly mothers need our attention the most. They can’t fight alone. Our duty in the council is to ensure the state’s presence through targeted programs,” said Sri Wahyuni Herman during a dialogue with the beneficiaries.
She emphasized that handling stunting is not just about providing food, but must be comprehensive: from nutrition and sanitation to educating parents. Meanwhile, for the elderly, Sri Wahyuni requested that village and sub-district governments conduct regular health checks to ensure they remain healthy in old age.
One aid recipient, Mrs. Sumiati, 68, a resident of Blok Poncol, said she found it very helpful. “Thank God, Mrs. Sri still remembers elderly people like me. These basic food packages mean a lot to us every day,” she said.
Bojongsari Village Head Riska Dwi Febriani expressed her appreciation for the Indramayu-Cirebon electoral district council member’s efforts. She hopes that collaboration between the Provincial DPRD, the sub-district, and Posyandu (Integrated Service Post) cadres can continue to improve to reduce stunting cases in Bojongsari.
Sri Wahyuni Herman is committed to continuing to monitor the progress of stunted children receiving aid. “We’ll check in three months. If their nutritional status improves, the program is working. If not, we’ll look for other solutions,” she concluded.**
