Yogyakarta Alumni Association (IKAPMI) Officially Inaugurated, Ready to Oversee Indramayu Regency Government Policies
Indramayu Jaya News .Com – The inauguration and Working Meeting of the Indramayu Student Alumni Association (IKAPMI) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) for the 2026-2030 term was held solemnly and with a spirit of togetherness. The event served as an important opportunity to strengthen alumni consolidation and formulate the organization’s direction in making real contributions to regional development and the development of Indramayu-based human resources in various sectors.
During the inauguration ceremony, the General Chair of IKAPMI Yogyakarta for the 2026-2030 term, Abdul Kholik, and the board of directors were officially inaugurated by senior Yogyakarta alumni figure, Drs. H. Ahmad Djahidin. The inauguration was marked by the reading of the management decree, the recitation of the oath, and the transfer of the organization’s mandate to the new management. The event was held at the Polindra campus park in Indramayu, West Java, on Sunday (May 24, 2026).
In his remarks, Abdul Kholik expressed his commitment to making IKAPMI DIY a forum for camaraderie, capacity building, and cross-professional collaboration for alumni and students from Indramayu who have studied in Yogyakarta.
According to him, IKAPMI has great potential as an intellectual and social force that can contribute to the progress of Indramayu Regency. Therefore, the new management will focus on strengthening the alumni network, developing empowerment programs, and enhancing the organization’s role in addressing various social and educational challenges.
“IKAPMI must be a shared home for all Yogyakarta alumni from Indramayu. With a spirit of collaboration and togetherness, we want to present programs that benefit both members and the wider community,” he said.
Meanwhile, Drs. H. Djahidin, in his direction, expressed his hope that the new management would be able to maintain the organization’s solidity and strengthen the intellectual traditions and dedication that have long been the hallmarks of Yogyakarta alumni. He also emphasized the importance of upholding family values and the spirit of mutual cooperation in running the organization.
“We must be pioneers as people who are beneficial to others; the key is sincerity,” he said.
The event was also attended by the Regent of Indramayu, represented by the Head of the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Innovation Agency (Bapperida) of Indramayu Regency, H. Suwenda, S.Sos., M.Si. In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the existence of IKAPMI DIY, which is considered to have made a strategic contribution to regional development through the ideas, networks, and human resources of its alumni.
The Indramayu Regency Government, he continued, is opening up opportunities for synergy with various alumni and youth organizations to jointly promote regional progress.
“We hope and ask IKAPMI to contribute to our assistance and synergize in advancing the region, especially regarding Indramayu’s Human Development Index,” he explained.
The event was also attended by members of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), community leaders, and various regional alumni organizations, including IKA-IDA Bandung, IKA PERMAI Jakarta, and several other organizations. The presence of these various elements further strengthened the spirit of collaboration among alumni in building productive and sustainable networks.
Besides the inauguration ceremony, the agenda continued with an organizational working meeting to discuss IKAPMI DIY’s strategic programs for the 2026-2030 term.
The various programs formulated are expected to strengthen the organization’s presence while providing tangible benefits to the Indramayu community and alumni across the region.**
