PEKANBARU-JAYA NEWS.COM – The Pekanbaru Boys’ Association (IPP) will hold Kenduri Anak Pekan to coincide with the inauguration of the IPP management for the 2025–2030 term, scheduled for February 7–8, 2026. This event will be packaged as a people’s celebration featuring a variety of cultural, social, and creative economy events for the people of Pekanbaru.
The elected Chairman of IPP, Muflihun, S.S.T.P., M.A.P., stated that Kenduri Anak Pekan is designed as a space for togetherness between the organization and the community. Through this event, IPP aims to provide entertainment while strengthening local cultural values that live within the Pekanbaru community.
“God willing, we will present various spectacular events for the public. These include the Charm of Malay Fashion, an MSME bazaar, an ongoing blood donation event, and various other exciting competitions,” said Muflihun in a press release on Thursday (February 5, 2026).
Furthermore, Kenduri Anak Pekan will also feature various Indonesian arts and cultural performances. Visitors can enjoy Barongsai (Lion Dance), Reog (Reog Dance), and a variety of cultural attractions from various regions of Indonesia, presented in a festive and inclusive atmosphere.
“We dedicate this event entirely to the people of Pekanbaru, so they can enjoy free entertainment and happiness,” he added.
On this occasion, Muflihun also invited all the children of Pekanbaru to join and contribute to the IPP. He stated that IPP is an open and inclusive organization, regardless of ethnic background or origin.
“IPP does not discriminate based on ethnicity or ethnicity. Anyone living in Pekanbaru is welcome to join and participate together,” he emphasized.
Going forward, IPP is committed to expanding its membership, extending to the sub-district, village, and even neighborhood (RT) and community (RW) levels, as part of its efforts to build a generation of Pekanbaru’s children who are progressive, competitive, and active in various community programs.
With its concept of a people’s party and spirit of unity, Kenduri Anak Pekan is expected to become a momentum for the revival of the younger generation’s role in preserving culture, strengthening social solidarity, and promoting the sustainable development of Pekanbaru City.**
