Prof. Budi’s ideas and concepts to make Yogyakarta a center for sports education and development in Indonesia have reached a point of agreement with the establishment of an educational institution that will accommodate all sports branches—especially more specific and distinctive sports—sports with traditional and local cultural values of Indonesian ethnic groups. Such as pencak silat, enggarang, rowing, and archery, which are deeply rooted in the nation’s traditions and culture, reflected in everyday life.
Prof. Budi’s grand ideas and concepts were thoroughly discussed at the summit in Gunung Kidul on November 27, 2025, because Prof. Budi envisioned Yogyakarta as a center for education and development of Indonesia’s diverse sports culture, embodying philosophical values to foster honesty, sportsmanship, tenacity, strength, and resilience, fostering ethical, moral, and ethical character in chivalrous competition for all the sons and daughters of Indonesia’s future, strong, and noble character.
Prof. This spirit was rekindled by Sri Eko Sriyanto Galgendu at a coffee event on Sunday night, November 29, 2025 at Caffe Wedang Palagan before morning, November 30, 2025. The stimulation from Gus Guntur Tjahya firmly stated his readiness to become a porter to realize this great idea and concept, because he not only wants to make Yogyakarta complete and complete to be called a student city for Indonesia, but also hopes that it can be realized soon in the near future, so that as a synchronization with the grand program of GMRI (Indonesian Moral Reconciliation Movement) which will launch “Book MA HA IS MA YA” in the near future the red line can be seen. Because by sport – as a stage to reach the thought process that culminates in inner process – it can be aligned to strengthen the cultural base of the Indonesian nation and state to build the noble morals of Indonesian people who are moral and physically and spiritually healthy so that they can have a strong body and a healthy soul that is rooted in a strong national culture to face the friction of global influences that have a very large influence on the life of local culture and the national culture of the Indonesian nation and state.
The National Defense Foundation, which oversees educational and cultural institutions closely associated with GMRI, is a key driver of the awakening of spiritual awareness and understanding. This educational institution, preserving culture and sports traditions, is independent and positions itself as a supporter of GMRI’s grand program of realizing sports, intellectual development, and spiritual development as a defense and resilience for the nation and state against the threat of a clash of world civilizations that can no longer be avoided.
The logo and symbol of this Foundation and educational institution are reflected in the image of an archer drawing a bow, facing right on the left, and facing left on the right, ready to shoot the arrow, with the spirit of Aji Senopati as the spirit and moral strength for the sons and daughters of Indonesia who are ready to inherit and carry this country beyond the world.**
