He truly felt like he’d suddenly become a general, something he never imagined, because he no longer cared about his rank, having held the rank of Police Commissioner for 14 years. His colleagues, including the Chief of Police himself, who was in the same class, said the North Sumatra native, speaking in his characteristic Medan style.
