The Rohul LAMR Issues the Decree of the King of Luhak Rambah, Tengku Afrizal Dahlan, the Deputy Regent of Rohul, attended with the Rohul Police Chief
ROHUL-JAYA NEWS.COM – The Riau Malay Customary Institution (LAMR) of Rokan Hulu (Rohul), during the Customary Council Meeting, issued the Decree of the King of Luhak Rambah, the Title of the Great Leader of Luhak Rambah, Dr. H. Tengku Afrizal Dachlan, M.M., at the LAMR Rohul Traditional Hall Building, Saturday (October 4, 2025).
The event was attended by the Deputy Regent of Rohul, H. Syafaruddin Poti, SH, MM, accompanied by the Rohul Police Chief, AKBP Emil Eka Putra; representatives from the Tourism Office, Zulfikal; the Head of Rambah District, Zulfan Alwi, SP; the Head of Rambah Hilir District, Mahadi, SE; and the Head of Kepenuhan Hulu District, Juneidy, S.Ip, M.Si.
Also in attendance were the Acting Chairman of the Rohul MKA LAMR, Datuk Drs. H. Yusmar, M.Si; the Head of the Rohul LAMR DPH, Datuk Seri H. Zulyadaini Gelar Datuk Saudagar Rajo; the Secretary of the Rohul LAMR DKA, T. Samsul Bahri; Tengku Tezzy D. Dachlan Zuriyat Bangsawan Luhak Rambah, Pucuk Suku Nun Tujuh; Datuk Marjeni Yahya Gelar Bendaro Kayo Luhak Rambah; the Napituhuta clan; and the traditional leaders of Luhak Rambah.
In his remarks, Deputy Regent Syafaruddin Poti conveyed that the key to leadership regarding customs is patience and sincerity in carrying them out without expecting anything.
“What we are doing today is a study that has resulted in a consensus. We will pass this study down as a guide for future generations,” said Syafaruddin Poti.
The Deputy Regent also stated that the Rohul Regency Government is ready to support any program related to traditional culture and its preservation. He hopes that each Traditional Council Institution in each sub-district will formulate regulations on customary governance, title appointments, requirements for becoming traditional officials, and cultural preservation, all of which will be stipulated in the Rohul Regency LKA.
The Head of the Rohul LAMR DPH, Datuk Seri H. Zulyadaini Gelar Datuk Saudagar Rajo, in her remarks, stated that this custom teaches us civility and mutual respect, and that this custom occupies a noble position to be implemented in everyday life.
“Tradition can influence a person’s morals, manners, and ethics. If we respect those above us, respect those in the middle, and honor those below us, these are all characteristics of a person with tradition,” concluded Datuk Saudagar Rajo.
The King of Luhak Rambah, Dr. H. Tengku Afrizal Dachlan, M.M., conveyed that he would carry out the mandate given to him by his family’s descendants with all his heart, sincerity, and honesty.
“The concept of thoughts and ideas going forward will prioritize collective deliberation. This is to provide clarity and reach consensus to avoid miscommunication in preserving culture,” concluded Tengku Afrizal.
Through a consensus with all relevant parties, the coronation of the King of Luhak Rambah, Dr. H. Tengku Afrizal Dachlan, M.M., was held. The inauguration of H. Tengku Afrizal Dachlan, M.M., will be held on Thursday (October 9, 2025). This is a significant moment considering the lack of a successor since 2003. (FR/MCDiskominfo).**
