Smart Story of Kuwu Arif and Krasak Village Statistics
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – The year 2025 is a historic milestone for Krasak Village, Jatibarang District, Indramayu Regency. This village was officially named the 2025 Statistics Love Village by three prestigious institutions: the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Community and Village Empowerment Service (DPMD), and the Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo) of Indramayu Regency.
This prestigious predicate cannot be separated from the leadership of Kuwu Khaerul Isma Arif, a visionary young leader who has served since the age of 26 and is now 30, has succeeded in bringing a breath of fresh air to data-based village governance.
“We believe that the power of data is the key to better village services and development,” said Kuwu Arif in the Jendela Iwo YouTube Podcast, Tuesday (27/3).
One of the superior innovations implemented in Krasak Village is a system for routinely updating citizen data every 28th of each month. This process involves village officials and RT heads who have been trained on the importance of data validity and accuracy.
The information collected includes population data such as residents who have died, moved domicile, and those who have gone abroad. After being verified, the data is published through the Population Board at the village office, creating a culture of transparency and openness of information to the community.
Krasak Village also shows extraordinary concern for its residents who work as Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI). Since 2022, the village has been actively collecting detailed data on PMI and Prospective PMI, working with various institutions to prevent the practice of Human Trafficking (TPPO).
Not only that, other important data such as pregnant women, children at risk of stunting, education levels, and extreme poor residents are also collected and used as a basis for compiling more accurate village policies that support the real needs of the community.
“We hope that in the future the data can continue to be updated, including data on education, poverty, unemployment, agriculture, and others,” added Kuwu Arif.
In addition to excelling in data management, Kuwu Arif also focuses on human resource development, especially the younger generation. He initiated various practical skills training such as welding, barbershop, culinary arts, and bridal makeup for young women, to encourage the economic independence of village youth.
This program aims to equip young people so that they are not only looking for work, but are able to create their own business opportunities in their environment.
Kuwu Arif hopes that the success of Krasak Village in building an integrated data system can be an inspiration for other villages in Indramayu Regency.
“With accurate data, the village government can prepare programs and budgets more effectively, including in terms of training and community empowerment,” he concluded.
