The 20-hour non-stop recital of prayers and verses from Bhuana by Indonesian spiritual figure Sri Eko Sriyanto Galgendu on August 2-3, 2025, at the Antara Heritage Center in Pasar Baru, Jakarta, was a resounding success, becoming a renowned performance venue in Indonesia and even globally. This is because, in the performing arts—not only in Indonesia but also globally—the maximum duration is only three hours. The prayer reading in the form of Bhuana literary works in the earth language, which is expected to be published as the Bible “MA HA IS MAYA,” estimated to be around 300 pages, is expected to be circulated soon and become a valuable addition to Indonesia’s increasingly under-recognized literature.
The contents of the Bible “MA HA IS MAYA” itself will have its own unique meaning. This is because its contents are the result of prayers recited by Sri Eko Sriyanto Galgendu, better known as the Indonesian Spiritual Leader and the founder of the Forum. He is a statesman, interfaith community leader, and administrator of the Indonesian Moral Reconciliation Movement, who shared two physics degrees with Gus Dur and Paku Buwono XII, as well as Dr. (HC), Drs. KH. Muhammad Habib Khirzin, and other Indonesian figures.
From a performing arts or staging perspective, prayers were read for 79 figures, including the deceased, who had a special closeness to him—during his more than 30 years of managing the spiritual world. He expressed this prayer as well as an expression of his gratitude and respect for these 79 figures by reciting prayers in the language of the earth—or the language of the sky in Prof. Dr. David Karsidi’s version—for a number of figures of his choice in this inaugural event. The next term is already planned to follow soon in Central Java. Until after the third term, Sri Eko Sriyanto Galgendu will visit spiritual leaders in various countries to garner support for the movement to awaken spiritual awareness and understanding, starting in Indonesia—the center of the global spiritual awakening movement.
The reading of Bhuana literary works in the language of the earth, based on the inner experiences of the figures who received this special offering, is without a text, and emerges spontaneously from contemporary memories in the heart, transformed into spoken and written language. Therefore, it is highly likely that there will be many shortcomings and errors in the technical editing and output of the book, referred to as MA HA IS MAYA. The printing process itself has its own sequence and rules that are no less complex and should not be taken lightly.
Writing the book MA HA IS MAYA has been planned for a long time, since 2024, and has become a topic of discussion during pilgrimages to various locations in Indonesia. For the past three months, it has been included in the GMRI program calendar to be realized, with the primary goal of becoming a Bible—a guide for the movement to awaken spiritual awareness and understanding, guiding all activities that adhere to spiritual values that uphold noble human ethics, morals, and morality. before the Creator and Ruler of the Universe.
From a spiritual perspective, this prayer recitation in the form of a literary work from the language of the earth is a milestone in Sri Eko Sriyanto Galgendu’s spiritual journey. He has reached a certain stage, and is now advancing into the next phase, a kind of stage of understanding and knowledge. Although the spiritual journey itself is truly endless, its final point being the grave.
Perhaps that is the unique and fascinating nature of spirituality, full of mysteries, like birth and death, which cannot be chosen, like destiny and will that must be accepted without alternative choices, ultimately leading to a downstream, entering a greater universe—full of mysteries—like the ability to recite prayers for 20 hours non-stop in an increasingly bitter global economic climate!
The reality of this choice of event, with its considerable expense and energy expended on a performance that can now be described as fleeting—because Sri Eko Sriyanto Galgendu was able to conquer it in just 20 hours—proves that there is still something new in the new. The latest. If only it weren’t for the sky above there’s still a sky. At least, in such a crazy event, material values can still be ignored, unlike spiritual ones. Although physical fatigue can be cured by the discovery of a blissful spiritual therapy model.
In essence, Sri Eko Sriyanto Galgendu performed a 20-hour non-stop reading of the literary work “Bhuana Dalam Bahasa Bumi” as a prayer offering to 79 figures, and it was done with success will soon follow with the next round of efforts to accelerate the movement to awaken spiritual awareness and understanding to shape a nation with ethical, moral, and noble character, as God’s creatures on earth.
Perhaps coincidentally, the event, which began at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, ended at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, with only breaks for the Dhuhr, Asr, Maqrif, and Isha prayers until just before the dawn prayer. This means it could be considered a full night, referring to prayer times. So, is there a spiritual meaning to the ever-changing numbers of time, amidst the mystery of a tomorrow that God may no longer grant us? **
