A light drizzle fell that morning. The road to Babakan Plasa (Baplas), Gantar, Indramayu, was still wet from the rain that had just subsided. However, the weather couldn’t stop the mothers from the Caring Wives Association (PIP). With raincoats covering their bodies, they continued on to the activity location. For them, the Ramadan Safari was not just a journey, but an endeavor to spread knowledge, strengthen relationships, and foster family harmony.
The 1447 H Ramadan Safari by the Caring Wives Association (PIP) was held again as a regular event that brings together mothers in the spirit of togetherness and family empowerment. This time, the event took place at the Babakan Plasa (Baplas) Block, Gantar District, Indramayu, hosted by local residents.
From the beginning, the atmosphere was warm and friendly. A speech from a representative from the Baplas Block opened the event with an expression of gratitude for the presence of the Safari Ramadhan group. The presence of mothers from various regions was expected to not only strengthen relationships but also bring benefits through the shared knowledge.
The participants were members of the Al Zaytun Community Service Center (PKBM) and members of the Indonesian Urban Village Cooperatives (KSU Desa Kota Indonesia), which has been active in various educational and community empowerment activities.
Next, Umi Rohimah, representing PIP, presented the organization’s program plans for the next two months. The programs are aimed at strengthening women’s roles within the family while increasing social awareness within the community.
Entering the material session, Dewi Asih Nusantari, also a representative of the Indonesian Urban Village Cooperatives (Kodeko), presented the first speaker. In her presentation, Dewi encouraged participants to understand Kodeko from a philosophical perspective.
She explained in detail what Kodeko is, why communities need to participate in Kodeko, how to implement it, and its purpose. She emphasized that awareness of Kodeko is not merely an administrative obligation or savings, but part of a collaborative effort to build economic independence.
Through her presentation, Dewi hoped that residents of the Baplas Block who had not yet registered with Kodeko would join soon. Meanwhile, those who had already registered were encouraged to be more consistent in fulfilling their savings obligations as a commitment to building shared economic strength.
The next presentation was delivered by Umi Umutiah, S.Psi, a tutor at the Al Zaytun Community Service Center (PKBM). She presented parenting knowledge with an educational and interactive approach.
In her presentation, Umi Umutiah presented various case studies closely related to the lives of mothers, from communication with children to the dynamics of family relationships. This drew enthusiastic responses from the participants, who shared their experiences.
According to her, a good understanding of parenting can help create a harmonious family, facilitate communication between husband and wife, and create a warm home environment conducive to children’s growth and development.
The series of activities then concluded with a presentation by Mrs. Maryuni on the five love languages. Through this presentation, participants were encouraged to recognize their own and their partners’ love languages, thereby fostering stronger and more understanding family relationships.
The discussion was lively and enthusiastic. Many participants felt the material presented was very relevant to their daily lives. Laughter, stories, and reflections on personal experiences colored the atmosphere until the end of the event.
The Ramadan Safari in the Baplas Block that day ultimately became more than just a gathering. It became a shared learning space for mothers to strengthen their roles in their families and communities.
Amidst the drizzle that accompanied their journey that morning, the spirit of sharing knowledge was even more warm and served as a reminder that from strong families, strong communities are born.**
