Sindang District Muspika, Indramayu Regency Ready to Monitor Preparations for Planting Season II

INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – The coordination meeting for planting season II at the sub-district level discussed preparations and strategies for facing the second planting season. Attended by the Sindang District Head, Danramil, Kapolsek, agricultural extension workers, representatives of farmer groups (Poktan), Farmer Group Associations (Gapoktan), River Basin Centers (BWS), and other related agencies, throughout Sindang District, taking place at the Sindang District Office Hall, Indramayu Regency, Monday, June 16, 2025.

In his remarks, Dadang Supriatna, S, IP., M, Si, expressed his appreciation for the holding of this event and emphasized the importance of togetherness and good coordination between farmers and related parties in facing the upcoming planting season.

Some of the important points discussed include:

1. Planting Pattern Planning: Determining the types of plants to be planted and setting an optimal planting schedule.

2. Availability of Production Facilities: Discussion on the availability of fertilizers, superior seeds, and agricultural medicines.

3. Water Management: Coordination related to irrigation systems and effective water resource management.

4. Anticipation of Constraints: Identification of potential constraints that may be faced during the planting season and efforts to prevent them.

Head of UPTD BPP Sindang Kaci District, SE, Sy provided the latest information on good cultivation techniques, pest and disease control, and government programs that can be utilized by farmers. The active discussion showed the enthusiasm and readiness of farmers in welcoming the second planting season.

Danramil 1602/Sindang Captain Inf Dadang Iskandar said that this coordination meeting was a manifestation of Danramil’s commitment to facilitating communication and cooperation between farmer groups and related parties. The TNI Manunggal Program is an effort by the TNI to unite with the people, including in the agricultural sector. The TNI, especially the Babinsa (Village Guidance Officers), actively assist farmers in various activities, such as planting rice, cultivating land, until harvest time. The goal is to support national food security and improve farmer welfare. **”
