Polindra Strengthens Global Network with Academic Exchange Agreement in Seoul, South Korea

SEOUL, KORSEL-JAYANEWS.COM – Indramayu State Polytechnic (Polindra) continues to expand its international network by strengthening academic collaborations. The Director of Polindra traveled to South Korea as part of the Academic Exchange Agreement Signing with Indonesian Polytechnic Universities at the Korea Indonesia Networking Day 2026 event.

The event took place on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in the Main Conference Room, Dongsan Hall. This Academic Exchange Agreement Signing is a strategic step for Polindra to strengthen global partnerships in the academic field, particularly in the development of vocational education based on international collaboration.

This important milestone coincided with the state visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, to the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Korea.

During the visit, President Prabowo witnessed the signing of 10 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between Indonesia and the Republic of Korea, covering various strategic sectors, including the establishment of a comprehensive strategic dialogue, economic cooperation 2.0, critical minerals partnerships, digital development, strengthening clean energy and financial cooperation, basic health and human development, and others.

In the human development sector, the State Polytechnic of Indramayu (Polindra) was one of the vocational higher education institutions participating in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The ten MoUs reflect the commitment of both countries to expanding sustainable and innovative cross-sectoral cooperation and provide a significant opportunity for higher education institutions, including polytechnics, to actively participate in the global collaboration ecosystem.

Polindra Director, Ir. Rofan Aziz, S.T., M.T., stated that Polindra’s participation in this activity represents a concrete step in improving the quality of vocational education through international networks.

“The signing of this Academic Exchange Agreement demonstrates Polindra’s commitment to building global collaborations oriented towards improving the quality of human resources.

We see this collaboration as a strategic opportunity for knowledge exchange, global industry-based curriculum development, and student and lecturer competency enhancement,” he said.

Rofan Aziz added that synergy between educational institutions and international partners is key to facing global challenges in the era of digital transformation and technology-based industries.

With this collaboration, Indramayu State Polytechnic affirms its position as a proactive vocational education institution in building global connectivity, while also supporting one of President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita (Asta Cita) of strengthening educational diplomacy in developing superior human resources at the international level.**
