Prof. Dr. KH. Sutan Nasomal, SH.MH.: YLBH CCI Promotes Legal Literacy, Educates the Nation’s Children
JAKARTA-JAYA NEWS.COM — In an effort to educate the nation’s children by increasing legal literacy, the CCI Legal Aid Foundation (YLBH CCI) is opening opportunities for the general public throughout Indonesia to learn and understand civil, criminal, and sharia law through a sub-district-level paralegal program on Sunday (January 11, 2026).
This program is open to all levels of society regardless of educational background, from law graduates, interdisciplinary graduates, to high school/Islamic high school graduates or equivalent. Through their paralegal roles, participants are expected to become legal advocates for the community and actively contribute to upholding justice and increasing legal awareness in their respective communities.
In his statement, Prof. Dr. KH. Sutan Nasomal, S.Pd.I., S.E., S.H., M.H., Ph.D., stated that legal literacy is an important part of educating the nation’s children. According to him, a good understanding of the law will produce a society that is aware of its rights and obligations, has the courage to defend the truth, and is not easily entangled in legal issues. “YLBH CCI believes that legal education at the grassroots level is key to building a just, civilized, and dignified society. The presence of paralegals at the sub-district level is expected to act as a bridge between the community and access to justice,” concluded Prof. Sutan Nasomal.
