Prince Losari, also known as Prince Angkawijaya, was an important figure in the history of the spread of Islam in Indonesia. He was the grandson of Sunan Gunung Jati, the founder of the Cirebon Sultanate, and the son of Prince Pasarean and Queen Nyawa.

Prince Losari was born in 1518 AD and possessed artistic expertise, particularly in creating the Mega Mendung and Gringsing batik motifs. He also created the Singa Barong Golden Carriage, which is now housed in the Kasepuhan Sultanate of Cirebon.

Prince Losari was tasked by Sunan Gunung Jati to spread Islamic teachings in the eastern Cirebon region, namely Losari. He used performing arts, particularly the Kelana Mask Dance, as a means of inviting the community to learn and accept Islamic teachings.

Prince Losari died in 1580 AD and was buried in Losari Lor Village, Losari District, Brebes Regency, Central Java. His grave has become a pilgrimage site for people who wish to honor his contributions to the spread of Islam.**
