The Ministry of Housing and Settlement and the Rokan Hulu Regency Government Inspect the Management of the Dipo Boncah Balong Lake Slum Area
ROHUL-JAYA NEWS.COM — The Ministry of Housing and Settlement, along with the Rokan Hulu (Rohul) Regency Government, conducted a direct inspection of the management of the slum area in the Dipo Boncah Balong Lake area, Kepenuhan District, on Thursday (10/16/2025).
Present were the Director General of Settlement Areas at the Ministry of Housing and Settlement, Ir. Fitrah Nur, M.Si., accompanied by the Head of Region 1, Widia Yulianti, and the Head of the Housing and Settlement Area Work Unit for Riau Province, Suindar Agung.
Also present were Rohul Deputy Regent H. Syafaruddin Poti, S.H., M.M., accompanied by the Head of the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) Gorneng, S.Sos., M.Si.; the Head of the Transportation Agency Minarli Ismail, S.P.; the Head of the Tourism Agency H. Helfiskar, S.H., M.H.; the Head of the Housing and Settlements Agency Desmadiana, S.Sos., MM.; the Head of the Settlement Area Division Fachruddin Siregar, ST., MT.; the Head of the Kepenuhan Sub-district Gustia Hendri, S.Sos., M.Si.; and other relevant parties.
Deputy Regent Syafaruddin Poti stated that this inspection was a follow-up to the initial identification of the residential environment, basic infrastructure, and proposed priority activities for slum eradication at Danau Dipo Boncah Balong, in accordance with the provisions of the Rohul Regency Slum Management Plan (RPKK).
“We are certainly committed to implementing this slum management program by directing relevant Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs) to actively participate in the implementation of these activities to ensure they are carried out properly and according to plan,” Poti said.

The Deputy Regent added that the direct inspection by the Director General of Residential Areas demonstrated the central government’s dedicated attention to immediately regulating the slum area of Lake Dipo Boncah Balong so that it can be resolved quickly.
At the same location, the Head of the Public Works and Housing Agency, Desmadiana, conveyed the focused management plan, including the TPS3R (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle Waste Processing Facility), drainage, sanitation, and other activities to address the slum area of Lake Dipo Boncah Balong in Kepenuhan District.
“Thank God, all invited stakeholders attended and expressed their commitment to collaboration. Hopefully, this activity can be implemented successfully, with the target completion date being December 31, 2025,” Desmadiana concluded.
With this synergy with the Ministry of PKP and cross-sectoral stakeholders, it is hoped that the Lake Dipo Boncah Balong area can quickly emerge from the slum category and become a livable, healthy, and sustainable environment. (FR/MCDiskominfo).*
