It’s Time For Spiritual Leaders To Play A Role in Reforming The Ethical, Moral, And Noble Morals Of The Indonesian People

In the theory of building a popular resistance movement, activists believe that allowing the flames of anger to continue to smolder—spreading smoke into the sky—is a sign of the many issues yet to be resolved. From worsening corruption to betrayal of the constitution and the people as sovereign owners who are no longer respected, this will eventually reach a momentum of explosion that can no longer be controlled. This is because the people’s anger has sublimated into a kind of representation of God’s anger.
The hijacking of the constitution in parliament, the exploitation of the earth’s resources, and the deforestation of forests that should be protected by the state, allowed to proceed unchecked by the arbitrary and tax-free management of palm oil plantations, has widened the wounds in the hearts of the people, whose patience has run out.
Likewise, the number of suspects who have not yet been prosecuted, and the number of fugitives who continue to roam free, violating the people’s sense of justice, have fueled the anger expressed in late August 2025 to early September 2025. Their anger was so wild and violent that it was expressed through the destruction of public facilities, even arson, and then taking action to seize the assets of certain public officials they considered to be the root cause of poverty and the reduction of public welfare, which has been pent up to this day. In the future, this will become a threat to us all. Because the targets of their anger will inevitably impact us all.
Therefore, the time and space prepared by President Prabowo Subianto’s government requires increased precision and vigilance to ensure that its negative impact does not add to the suffering and suffering of the already miserable people. The potential and energy of the people are clearly and certainly a reliable support and strength for building this country together.
The essence of this marginal note—borrowing the trademark of columnist Goenawan Mohammad—was inspired by a series of regular weekly discussions on GMRI (Indonesian Moral Reconciliation Movement) organized by Sri Eko Sriyanto Galgendu with spiritual friends and relatives who firmly believe that improving this country can no longer be entrusted to any politicians in Senayan—because the ethical, moral, and ethical decay can only be corrected by leaders, figures, and activists who possess intelligence, expertise, and spiritual abilities. Because spirituality always sides with and stands firmly within the corridor of ethics (obedience and devotion) and morals (honesty and sincerity) to noble character (firm belief in the power and greatness of God) who has bestowed grace upon humans as His creatures as khalifatullah on earth.
Now is the right time and place for leaders and activists with spiritual intelligence and resilience to repair and build the nation and state, not just so that what appears on the surface of this country is not just the same old faces, but the real need to repair the damage caused by corrupt ethics, morals, and ethics. This can only be done by leaders, activists, figures, and patriots of the Indonesian nation who are rooted in a just and noble spiritual culture.**
