A Call for Morality and Faith: Concerning the Dangers of Alcohol, Drugs, and Free Sex Among the Young Generation
We call on the *FKUB (Forum for Interfaith Harmony) and PGGJ (Communion of Churches in Jayawijaya)* to speak out and take immediate action, because the cross, which should be a symbol of faith, has been misused. This place has now become a den of alcohol abuse, drug abuse, and sex parties, which are destroying the sanctity and destroying the young generation.
We cannot remain silent!
Like the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, God’s wrath will fall upon the city that refuses to repent. If society does not change, destruction will come not only to the perpetrators but also to entire generations.
“Before thousands of our young people are destroyed by alcohol, free sex, and drugs, we must rise up, speak out, and act.”
What can we be proud of when our own generation is dying and lost?
*We call on:*
1. The local government, *FKUB*, and *PGGJ* to immediately take decisive action to regulate and restore the function of public spaces, so that they do not become dens of moral crime.
2. Churches and religious leaders to strengthen pastoral care, prayer, and faith education for young people.
3. Communities and parents to actively supervise their children and encourage them to stay away from alcohol, drugs, and promiscuity.
4. The younger generation is invited to return to God, study, work, and create, so that they become the hope of the future, not victims of destruction.
Let us rise together, so that this city is saved and our generation is not lost in vain.**
