Al-Zaytun Community Learning Center Tutors Actively Participate in In-Depth Learning OJT 1
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS COM – Saturday, September 6, 2025, was a special day for education in Indramayu Regency. Amidst the hustle and bustle of weekend activities, educators from various institutions, from principals and teachers to tutors from the Community Learning Center (PKBM), gathered at SMPN 2 Sindang. They came to participate in On-the-Job Training (OJT) 1, a crucial initiative designed to strengthen competencies in facilitating effective learning.
The intensive activity, which ran from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., was attended not only by educators from formal schools but also by tutors from PKBM, including two representatives from Al-Zaytun PKBM: Sahrul Abadi Haryanta, S.Pd.I. and Abdul Karim, S.Mn., M.Pd. Their presence demonstrated the strong synergy between formal and non-formal education in efforts to improve the quality of human resources in Indramayu.
Video Analysis and Self-Reflection: A Mirror for Improvement
This event emphasized the importance of collaboration and continuous self-development. Participants attended an orientation session that provided a clear overview of the objectives and flow of the OJT mentoring program. This session provided a solid foundation before entering the core activities.
The main focus of the event was video analysis of learning facilitation. Participants were divided into groups to watch two teaching practice videos. Each group was asked to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, and innovations seen in each video. The discussion was very dynamic, full of fresh ideas and constructive feedback. Various perspectives on teaching methods, classroom management, and interaction with students were discussed in depth.
“This session was eye-opening. We were able to see teaching practice from a different perspective, not just from our own experiences,” said one enthusiastic teacher.
Sharing Experiences and Future Plans
Before the video analysis session, participants also had the opportunity to share the results of their learning facilitation implementation in Cycle 1. This session served as a forum for brainstorming, where each educator shared their challenges and successes. These stories clearly illustrated how they adapted to the varying characteristics of their students and the different learning environments.
“Sharing like this is very helpful. We learn that the challenges we face are shared by others, and we can find solutions together,” said Abdul Karim, a tutor from the Al-Zaytun Community Learning Center (PKBM).
As the afternoon progressed, the atmosphere grew more lively with a feedback session between participants and teachers. All input was driven by a spirit of mutual development. The teachers provided personalized guidance tailored to each participant’s needs.
The OJT 1 Mentoring Activity concluded with the formulation of concrete follow-up actions. The participants committed to applying the knowledge they gained and continued communication for mutual support. This event is not just a meeting, but a concrete step towards creating a more collaborative, professional, and innovative educational ecosystem in Indramayu.**
