Road Show Across Five Regions and the Seribu Islands, a Stage for the Struggle of Red and White Poets Celebrating 80 Years of Indonesian Independence
JAKARTA – The road show across five regions in Jakarta and the Seribu Islands, a stage for the struggle of Red and White Poets Celebrating 80 Years of Indonesian Independence, will feature approximately 20 poets consecutively on August 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, and 30, 2025.
This was stated by Moctavianus Masheka, Chair of the Indonesian Literary Inspiration Park (TISI), to reporters in Jakarta on Friday evening (August 15, 2025).
“This literary event, consisting of poetry readings, will highlight various issues, particularly what Indonesia has and has not achieved in celebrating the 80th anniversary of Indonesian Independence,” he said.
The road show across five regions in Jakarta and the Seribu Islands (Pramuka Island-ed), a stage for the struggle of Red and White Poets Celebrating 80 Years of Indonesian Independence, is a collaboration between the Indonesian Literary Inspiration Park (TISI) and the Jakarta Provincial Culture Office.
“Around 20 poets will read poetry and perform musicals to highlight and critique various issues facing this nation, leading up to its 80th anniversary of independence,” concluded Bung Octa, who is also known as a national-level poet and writer.
Those performing in this arts performance include Jose Rizal Manua, Exan Zen, Boyke Sulaiman, Asrizal Nur, Imam Ma’arif, and Riri Satria.
Furthermore, Rissa Churria, Silvy, Nuyang Jaimee, Dyah Kencono Puspito Dewi, Shantined, Ni Made Sri Andani, Nurhayati, Emy Sui, Mita Katoyo, Rinidiyanti Ayahbi, Tersajakkanlah, and Swary Utami Dewi (MC).
This arts performance will also include cash prizes and books for attendees who answer questions from the committee. (***)
