Parents Day Seminar Highlights 11th Anniversary of the Indonesian Railway Polytechnic in Madiun

MADIUN-JAYA NEWS.COM – As the Indonesian Railway Polytechnic (PPI) approaches its 11th anniversary, PPI Madiun is further strengthening its role in developing superior and competent railway personnel. Several events were held to celebrate its 11th anniversary, culminating on August 15, 2025.

The opening ceremony was held on August 1, followed by a table tennis competition. The next activity was a blood drive on August 6. In addition to social activities, several competitions involving male and female cadets also enlivened the PPI Madiun’s 11th anniversary celebrations. These included a green poster competition, a quiz, storytelling, a Japanese vlog video, and an Arabic speech. The cadets enthusiastically participated in these activities.

In addition to activities involving cadets, the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) Madiun also launched a Parents Day seminar for its anniversary, which also involved parents.

This activity aimed to involve parents in the educational process, which was not solely left to the school but also encouraged parents to participate in educating their children to become individuals who excel not only academically but also possess admirable character.

The Parents Day event was held on Saturday, August 9, 2025. PPI invited parents of first- and second-year cadets.

The speaker, Hendriani Curtinawati, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist, a psychologist at Hermina Hospital in Madiun and a psychologist at Demangan in Madiun, presented on the challenges parents face in raising Generation Z children in the digital age.

The event began with remarks from the Coordinator, followed by remarks from Deputy Director 2, Dr. Erifendi Churniawan, S.H., M.H., and remarks from Deputy Director 3 Windi Nopriyanto, M.Sc.

The Parents’ Day seminar also invited members of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (Women’s Association) within the Madiun PPI (Indonesian Student Association).

The seminar speakers explained the role of parents in positive parenting as a key ecosystem in shaping the character of cadets.
