Offline Tutoring, a Means of Strengthening Students’ Preparation for the New Semester
SEMARANG-JAYA NEWS.COM – Semarang State University (UNNES) is still relatively quiet on campus today, Tuesday, August 12, 2025. This is because most students are still enjoying the holidays at their respective locations.
Several seventh-semester students are busy carrying out internships (PPL) and community service (KKN).
Several activists in the campus’ internal student activity units (UKM) are busy preparing activities to welcome new students. To welcome the odd semester, the Supervisory Board (Pantu) activities, both offline and online, have begun.
Nur Fateah, a lecturer in the Javanese Language and Literature Education Study Program, held an offline supervisory board on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
This supervisory board provides an important platform for students to strengthen their preparation for the 2025 Odd Semester.
Nine students attended the offline supervisory board, while the majority of the other students participated online. This was because many students were in their hometowns during the semester break.
“Before starting class, make sure everything is approved, so there are no conflicting class times,” explained Nur Fateah.
Students are expected to proactively report any academic-related issues to their supervising lecturers.

– *Online*: Most of the other students participated online because they were still in their hometowns

– Strengthening students’ preparation for the new semester
– Providing students with the opportunity to discuss their study plans directly with their advisors
– Helping students become more prepared and focused in preparing for the new semester
“This guardianship provides an opportunity for students to discuss their study plans directly with their advisors. Students directly conveyed several issues and study plans for the odd semester. With this activity, it is hoped that students will be better prepared and focused in navigating the new semester,” he concluded.**
