Lecturer of the D4 manufacturing design study program of Indramayu State Polytechnic, Adi Kusumayadi, S.ST., M.Sc., Ph.D. explained,
we are Lecturers from the D4 Manufacturing Design study program, Indramayu State Polytechnic and international partners with Professors from Taiwan.

“Alhamdulillah, we have succeeded in developing microalgae-based livestock waste processing technology using the Microwave-Assisted Hydrothermal Carbonization (MHTC) method,” he said.

Through this approach, he continued, microalgae cultivated in pig wastewater are converted into hydrochar, a carbon-rich solid material that can absorb hazardous dyes such as methylene blue up to 87%. This process not only produces alternative fuels with high calorific value, but also offers an environmentally friendly solution in waste management and water pollution, while supporting the implementation of a circular economy in the energy and environmental sectors.

“We have also written a paper, which
Alhamdulillah, the results of our research and writing with a Professor from Taiwan have been published in the Q1 International Journal,” he said.

Of course this is a source of pride for us from the Indramayu State Polytechnic because it will automatically help raise the good name of the Indramayu State Polytechnic both nationally and internationally. He said

Adi Kusumayadi also gave tips so that it can be published in the Q1 International Journal, there are three tips, the first is that the data needs to be considered, namely the data must be solid and the second, the novelty of the research and the third, how to convey the results of the data, if the data is good, if it is conveyed poorly, it will not be used, so the delivery must also be good.

Adi Kusumayadi added, we are also still doing several Journals that are still collaborating with Professors from Taiwan and also trying to build relationships with Professors from Malaysia, so that they can collaborate.

“Hopefully this collaboration will be beneficial for the nation and provide positive value for progress at the Indramayu State Polytechnic,” he said.**
