BIRTHDAY PRESENT WRAPPED IN POETRY PAPER
today’s birthday present
wrapped in poetry paper
without a kiss
prayer and dream
starvation is still always
become breakfast
for morning song
the smell of fuel accompanies
wild death
today’s birthday present

who wants to visit the sun
inner entertainment
cutting down trees
heart’s garden
there is no cake
or green candle
blown by the wind in the early morning
then spread on the prayer table
sounding hastily
today’s birthday present

while waiting
the poet’s inner relationship
getting older
in the last days
in the iron bed
no more
my grandson’s funny cry
hitting the head hard
my mighty son
send greetings through the air
the forgotten
tomorrow,
hopefully no longer selling
jewelry and rare items
a spiritual journey
inherited from the hebrews
preparing for
a new heaven and a new earth
leaving home
built with stone
that is eternal and everlasting
