Celebrate Indonesian Tree Planting Day (HMPI) at Al-Zaytun, When Trees Become a Manifestation of the Trilogy of Awareness
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – Indonesian Tree Planting Day (HMPI) is commemorated annually on November 28th. It was established through Presidential Decree Number 24 of 2008, issued by then-President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, to raise ecological awareness and encourage active participation in tree planting.
Ma’had Al Zaytun, an educational institution, has made a commitment to trees part of its culture since 1999. They have planted millions of trees and adhere to the philosophy “Our predecessors planted trees for us, and we plant trees for future generations.”
The Trilogy of Awareness implemented at Al Zaytun includes Philosophical Awareness, Ecological Awareness, and Social Awareness.
They move trees rather than cut them down and have a special tool, the “Big John,” to move large trees. This demonstrates their commitment to the environment and sustainability.
