According to religious experts, hablumminallah is the foundation of spirituality that reflects human morals and actions towards whatever they do. And hblumminannas is the essence of faith — belief in Allah — which is implemented in good behavior towards fellow creatures in the world, especially towards humans. So that the Prophet Muhammad SAW said “A person does not believe until he loves his brother as he loves himself”.
The problem then is how to measure our love for ourselves which is equal to our love for our brother. In this context, attention, care and help and assistance that can be given — without having to be asked first — become mandatory and must be done with awareness and sincerity as sincerely as possible without any ulterior motives. Especially just to get praise or image. Therefore, in religious guidance it is emphasized, if you give with your right hand, then try not to let your left hand know. This metaphor shows that the attitude of showing off, being arrogant and the desire to beat others is completely unnecessary. Because showing off and being arrogant will only reduce the meaning of the giving or helping that is done. Apart from that, a humble attitude – not caring about praise or flattery is really unimportant. Because praise and flattery can make us fall into bad attitudes and traits, feeling superior to others.
That is the relationship between hablumminallah which is closely related to hablumminannas in a spiritual framework of devotion to God. While hablumminannas – as the foundation of spirituality – becomes the basis for our morals and actions as humans towards other humans, including other creatures along with nature and the environment in this universe. Therefore, social relationships must be carried out fairly, lovingly so that they can provide many benefits not only to oneself, but also to and for others.
That is the form of true faith according to a number of orders in this country. So the essence of the meaning of hablumminannas is maintaining morals, ethics and ethics with a sincere and honest attitude, patience, fairness and trustworthiness. Spreading love and kindness to fellow human beings. Wanting to care and help and avoiding disappointing or hurting other people’s feelings.
However, what is no less important is being persistent and resilient in upholding rights and justice to always respect the privacy and rights of others, and firmly rejecting injustice against anyone.
In fact, we must not ignore the attitude of tolerance – especially in diversity – ethnicity, religion or origin and background of fellow human beings who are very diverse and pluralistic in nature. so that in the end we can behave socially that is more commendable and active and vigorous in community life to help each other, such as the potential of the culture and traditions of the Indonesian nation which has a distinctive attitude and nature of mutual cooperation. In the context of the nation and state, the essence of Pancasila – if squeezed in Soekarno’s words – can be called Trisila, until then it continues to be squeezed into mutual cooperation.
The meaning is clear, the essence of spirituality cannot be separated from our lives as human beings, both in the nation and state as stated in the 1945 Constitution and Pancasila which is often referred to as the nation’s philosophy, and is even believed to be the state ideology. As a result of those who ignore spirituality, damage to the earth will continue to occur, and will never stop.
It seems that on this basis, Sri Eko Sriyanto Galgendu together with a number of national figures, religious leaders and intellectuals in Indonesia initiated a movement to awaken spiritual awareness and understanding since 28 years ago through GMRI (Indonesian Moral Reconciliation Movement) initiated and pioneered a spiritual movement for all citizens of the Indonesian nation.
Because to fix the various damages to the political, legal and economic systems that are increasingly plaguing the lives of the people, it can only be repaired through a moral movement based on the ethics and noble morals of humans who have caused damage to the Indonesian archipelago.
