Leading the DPC K-Sarbumusi NU Indramayu for the 2025-2030 Period, H. Anas Prioritizes Labor Struggle, Focuses on the Agricultural Sector
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – H. Anas Gohzali, a community figure and cadre of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), was officially elected as the Chairperson of the Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of K-Sarbumusi NU Indramayu Regency for the 2025-2030 period. He replaces Suroso, the previous chairman whose term of office has ended.
The election was held by acclamation on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in a deliberation forum attended by the management, members, and various elements of society and organizations in Indramayu Regency.
The election event was also attended by the Chairperson of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of K-Sarbumusi, West Java Province, Asep Setiawan or familiarly called Aa Acil, and his entourage.
Also present were representatives of the DPD KNPI Indramayu, Banom NU, community leaders, and other invited guests who also provided support and appreciation for the holding of the election.
H. Anas Gohzali conveyed his commitment to carry out the organization’s mandate well. He emphasized that he would prioritize the struggle of workers in the agricultural sector, considering that Indramayu Regency has again ranked first as a rice barn in West Java Province, after previously being shifted by Karawang Regency.
“God willing, I will carry out this mandate as well as possible. In the future, we will continue to fight for workers’ rights, especially in the agricultural sector, which is one of the main bases in Indramayu,” he said briefly.
So far, the DPC K-Sarbumusi NU Indramayu Regency has fostered and organized six labor bases in various sectors, including the agricultural sector. With Indramayu’s achievement as the largest rice producer in West Java this year, H. Anas Gohzali emphasized the importance of protecting and welfare farm workers in Indramayu Regency.
Meanwhile, Suroso as the previous Chairperson of the DPC K-Sarbumusi NU Indramayu, congratulated H. Anas Gohzali. He hopes that under the new leadership, the DPC K-Sarbumusi NU Indramayu will progress further and continue to fight for the interests of workers.
“I congratulate and wish success to H. Anas Gohzali. Hopefully under his leadership, K-Sarbumusi Indramayu will be more solid, advanced, and continue to be the vanguard in fighting for the welfare of workers in Indramayu Regency, especially NU members and the labor community in general,” he concluded.
The event took place with a sense of family, solemnity, and togetherness, as a manifestation of K-Sarbumusi NU’s commitment to fighting for workers’ rights in Indramayu Regency.
