IKA GMNI Visits Al-Zaytun to Align Perceptions of Marhaenism Ideology
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – A group from the Indonesian National Student Movement Alumni Association (IKA GMNI) visited Al-Zaytun in Gantar District, Indramayu Regency, on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
The IKA GMNI delegation consisted of Iwan Hendrawan, Chair of the National Presidium, along with Oman Sulaksono, Treasurer; the Cirebon Raya Branch Coordinators, Imam Sibaweh and Egy; the Advocacy and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) Managers, Umar Faruq, Suparmanto, and Dulwakid; and the Youth Division Manager, Ikhlas Juangsah.
In a statement to JayaNews.com on Sunday, October 5, 2025, Iwan stated, “We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Panji Gumilang and his staff and escorted to all teaching and field practice locations.”
“We share a common understanding of the Marhaenism ideology taught by Bung Karno and are also exploring opportunities for collaboration with Al-Zaytun,” Iwan said, continuing with an explanation of the Bung Karno School of Management, from its definition to its implementation.
“Al-Zaytun has no objections and welcomes our offer of cooperation regarding the establishment of a GMNI (National Movement for National Education) Commission at Al-Zaytun, which can be implemented once the university has been established,” he continued.
Iwan continued, “Panji Gumilang explained to us that School of Management is not an Islamic religious sect, but rather a strategy, school of thought, or method for implementing human development activities in Indonesia, particularly within the Al-Zaytun community. The Bung Karno School of Management, on the other hand, represents a practice that has been implemented to optimally and sustainably utilize natural resources independently without requiring external input. All of Al-Zaytun’s needs have been met independently.
During the meeting, Dr. Ali Aminulloh from Al Zaytun explained the ongoing construction of the Bung Karno Building in Al Zaytun.
For IKA GMNI, this is a matter of extraordinary pride and honor.***
