Indramayu Regent Lucky Hakim Visits GPM in Brondong Pasekan Village
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – The Indramayu Regency Government held the Affordable Food Movement (GPM) as an effort to stabilize food supplies and prices on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
This activity was held in Brondong Village, Pasekan District. Indramayu Regent Lucky Hakim was present to ensure that food prices sold at the GPM were lower than market prices.
During his visit, Regent Lucky was accompanied by the Head of Pasekan District, Dedeh Nurjannah. According to Lucky, this program demonstrates the government’s commitment to addressing the needs of the community, especially amidst the continued rise in staple food prices.
Regent Lucky stated that many people who previously had difficulty purchasing daily necessities now feel helped by the GPM, which provides food at more affordable prices.
A number of commodities for sale are even offered starting at five thousand rupiah, attracting the interest of people who come since early morning. Some staples, such as rice, sugar, and cooking oil, are sold at prices far below market prices.
Regent Lucky Hakim is working to ensure similar activities can be held in all sub-districts in Indramayu as part of an effort to ensure equal access to affordable food for all residents. Lucky emphasized that this program is very helpful in reducing the economic burden on the community.
”With this GPM, we hope to help the community meet their balanced nutritional needs. With more affordable prices, people can obtain better protein intake. We also hope that people will become wiser in managing their family finances, prioritizing basic needs over mere desires,” he added.
