Ministry of Finance Teaching Community Visits Teras Talenta Reading House
PADANG-JAYA NEWS.COM – The Ministry of Finance Teaching Community visited the Teras Talenta reading house to provide knowledge and skills in financial literacy to elementary, middle, and high school students who visited the house on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
This volunteer activity was carried out by Ministry of Finance employees and volunteers in the form of a one-day teaching session specifically for elementary, middle, and high school students.
The Ministry of Finance Teaching Program aims to inspire students across the country.
This activity was held simultaneously throughout Indonesia in conjunction with November 10th.
Elza Mardian, Deputy Chairperson of the Padang Regional Community, said on Sunday afternoon (November 9, 2025) that the volunteer team shared knowledge about finance.
“They also learned about finding and managing their own finances in a simple way, while playing and telling stories, so the children felt interested and enjoyed it,” she said.
She said the interactive approach and the provocative question-provoking approach made the Teras Talenta children enthusiastic and shout with joy.

“Serving today means forever is our community’s slogan. It also motivates us to continue caring about financial literacy,” she added, expressing gratitude for the collaboration with many communities such as Aisec, the Book Community, and others.
The Teras Talenta Reading House, on Jalan Cindua, was also supported by the Ministry of Finance.
Meanwhile, Sastri Bakry, Founder of RB Teras Talenta Ranti Arastri, and Manager of RB Teras Talenta expressed their delight at seeing students from various faculties enthusiastically teaching and sharing their skills with the visiting children.
They were taught various skills such as making bracelets and necklaces.
“Hopefully, this visit will continue for the advancement of our financial literacy, which is rarely explored in society,” she hoped.
The day’s learning session concluded with a group photo with the volunteer team and the Teras Talenta children.
The volunteer team distributed gifts and “piggy banks” to teach the children how to manage their finances frugally and carefully. (***)
