To Celebrate National Santri Day 2025, the Megaluh Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) MWC Holds a Coloring Competition

The Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Representative Council (NU MWC) of Megaluh District successfully held a Coloring Competition to celebrate National Santri Day 2025. Students from kindergarten, Islamic boarding school (RA), and Islamic religious high schools (TPQ) across Megaluh District, Jombang Regency, East Java Province participated. The event took place lively at the Megaluh Village Hall on Thursday (10/16/2025).
The activity, which began at 8:00 a.m. and ended at 10:00 a.m., was enthusiastically attended by dozens of young participants. The children arrived early in the morning, accompanied by their accompanying teachers and parents, who also provided support. The hall was filled with colorful creations and the cheerful laughter of the participants.
The event was officially opened by H. Drs. Dimyati Msl, Supervisor of the Megaluh District Islamic Boarding School (RA/MI), who also provided guidance and encouragement to the participants.
“Children are the next generation of the nation and the successors to the struggles of Islamic boarding school (santri). The spirit of learning and creativity must be continuously cultivated from an early age,” said H. Dimyati in his remarks.
Meanwhile, the Chair of the HSN MWC NU Megaluh Committee, M. Zainuddin Arif, explained that this activity was part of an effort to instill the spirit of Islamic boarding school (santri) from an early age.
“Through this coloring competition, we want to introduce Islamic boarding school values in a fun way. Children learn about enthusiasm, perseverance, and togetherness in a joyful atmosphere,” he said.
According to the committee, the competition was judged on color composition, neatness, and the expression of the santri theme. Participants demonstrated high imagination and creativity in every stroke of color they produced.
The competition ran smoothly and orderly thanks to the collaboration between the committee, accompanying teachers, and village officials who assisted with the technical aspects of the event. After all participants completed their work, the event concluded with the announcement of the winners and a group photo session, capturing the meaningful togetherness on the occasion of National Santri Day in Megaluh District.
”Activities like this are not just competitions, but also a form of character education for children so they grow into a generation that is religious, creative, and virtuous,” added M. Zainuddin Arif.**
