Mojowarno Public Health Center Brings Free Health Checks to Mojowarno Christian Hospital
JOMBANG-Jayanews.com – To meet national targets, the Mojowarno Public Health Center (Puskesmas) is not waiting for residents to come to its facility. Over three days, from Monday to Wednesday (Sept. 21-23, 2026), its team offered Free Health Checks (CKG) at Mojowarno Christian Hospital .
The service was open to all Mojowarno Christian Hospital employees and the general public. Participants could have their blood pressure, height, weight, blood sugar, kidney function, and blood lipids checked. Early detection screenings for eyes, ears, and teeth were also available.
Sri Wahyuningsih, M.Gz., head of the Mojowarno Public Health Center, said that going to RSKM was a strategy to bring services closer to their intended recipients. She said that relying solely on residents visiting the health center would leave the program far short of its target.
This year’s Free Health Checks target is set at 48 percent of the population in the health center’s service area, or about 27,000 of 58,000 residents.
“That is why the health center is working to make sure the target is met,” she said.
She hopes the service can benefit people from all walks of life.
“From birth to old age, everyone should receive free health checks,” she said.
Participants begin with a nutritional status assessment, which includes measuring weight, height, and waist circumference. The next stage is screening for family medical history, such as tuberculosis (TB), followed by blood pressure, eye, and ear examinations. Participants over 40 receive an additional microlipid test to measure blood fat levels.
“There are so many benefits to this Free Health Checks examination,” Sri Wahyuningsih said.
She also thanked Mojowarno Christian Hospital for its cooperation.
Susilaningsih, a retired Mojowarno Christian Hospital employee, said she felt the benefits firsthand. She said the checkup helped her learn about her current health condition, and she hopes similar programs will continue and be open to all segments of society.
Free Health Checks is a program of the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) that aims to identify disease risk factors, detect pre-disease conditions early, and provide education that encourages healthy lifestyles. The government has urged the public to take advantage of the program.**
