POLINDRA HOLDS INTERNATIONAL VISITING PROFESSOR & GUEST LECTURE WITH TWO SPEAKERS FROM TAIWAN

Polindra Holds International Visiting Professor & Guest Lecture with Two Speakers from Taiwan

INDRAMAYU-JAYANEW.COM – Politeknik Negeri Indramayu (Polindra) successfully held an International Visiting Professor & Guest Lecture featuring two speakers from Taiwan. The event took place at the 7th floor of the Student Center Building on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

The invited speakers were Prof. Kuan-Ting Lee from the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, Tunghai University, who presented “Green Chemistry in Action: Transforming Waste, Symbiosis and Electricity Microalgal Value”. The second speaker was Prof. Yong Kitt Leong, also from Tunghai University, with the topic “Biomass Waste-Derived Dissolved Organic Matter”.

The event was attended by Ir. Rofan Aziz, S.T., M.T., IPM, Director of Polindra, Ir. Badruzzaman, S.ST., M.T, Vice Director 1 for Academic Affairs, Ahmad Lubis Ghozali, S.Kom., M.Kom, Vice Director 2 for Planning, Finance and General Affairs, Ir. Karsid, S.T., M.T, Vice Director 3 for Student Affairs, Alumni and Cooperation, along with hundreds of students from all departments at Polindra.

In his remarks, the Director of Polindra welcomed and expressed gratitude to the professors from Taiwan.
“The purpose of this activity is to promote campus exchange. Hopefully in the future there will be educational cooperation between Politeknik Negeri Indramayu and universities in Taiwan. We hope students will be more motivated to learn,” he said.

Adi Kusumayadi, a lecturer and moderator of the event, added that this program is very beneficial to broaden students’ knowledge through academic exchange with foreign universities.
“Through this International Visiting Professor & Guest Lecture, students are expected to gain new knowledge and insights from abroad, especially from Taiwan. We hope students will keep studying hard and stay motivated to achieve their dreams,” he stated.

One of the student participants also expressed enthusiasm, hoping that similar events will continue to be held by inviting speakers from both domestic and international institutions, as they are highly beneficial for students.**
