Entertainment Tax Potential in Indramayu

The Special Region of Jakarta’s Regional Original Revenue (PAD) exceeds 100 trillion rupiah, sourced from hotel and entertainment taxes.
In fact, Indramayu also has certain areas renowned for providing entertainment, including Kedokan Bunder, Haurgeulis, and Kroya.
Research by PESEDENA at a karaoke bar in Cilegeng Indah found that a two-hour session with one guide, snacks, and coffee, cost Rp 600,000 (six hundred thousand rupiah).
While the Special Region of Jakarta includes a 10% tax on the bill, the Karaoke C.I. does not include the additional tax.
This is despite the Indramayu Regency Government enacting Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2016 concerning Regional Taxes.
Socializing and implementing the Regional Tax is more urgent than giving gifts to taxpayers if we are determined to increase Indramayu Regency’s Original Regional Revenue.**
