Riri Satria and Emi Suy to Launch Five Books Simultaneously in Mid-2026

JAKARTA-JAYA NEWS COM – Mid-2026 will be a significant milestone for writer and essayist Riri Satria and poet Emi Suy, who are scheduled to launch five new books simultaneously.

Four works by Riri Satria and one new poetry collection by Emi Suy.

Riri Satria presents four cross-genre titles: the poetry collection “Time Bomb,” the technology essay “Algorithm Wave,” the cultural essay “Words, Appearances, and Colors,” and the writing guide “Framing Words.”

“These four books are the result of a long process of reflection that summarizes the development of my thinking and writing practice over the past few years,” Riri Satria told reporters in Jakarta on Saturday (March 28, 2026).

“These writings are like traces of myself from the past. Some are still relevant, some are raw, and some have surprised me,” he added.

After publishing “Login Haramain” in 2025, Riri admitted to deliberately slowing down her writing pace.

She reviewed works written since 2022 on various digital platforms before reassembling them into a book.

At the same time, Emi Suy launched a poetry book titled “Women Must Be Able to Sew, At Least Sew Their Own Wounds.”

This book contains poems written between 2022 and 2025 and previously published in various national media and digital platforms.

Emi Suy’s work highlights powerful personal experiences, with themes of wounds, resilience, and recovery.

Her poems are positioned not only as aesthetic expressions but also as forms of inner testimony.

From a literary perspective, this work can be read within the framework of “writing as healing,” namely the practice of writing as a medium for healing and the articulation of existential experiences.

Riri Satria herself is known for her background spanning various fields, from digital technology to economics to philosophy.

In addition to her work as a writer, she also serves as the President Commissioner of a state-owned enterprise and Chair of the Millennium Literature Society.

Meanwhile, Emi Suy is currently actively working through the West Jakarta Literature Community (Kosakata), consistently presenting poetry that resonates with women’s everyday experiences.

The launch of these five books will not only be a publication ceremony but also a space for dialogue.

Several discussion sessions will be held to explore the creative processes of the two authors, from recording ideas and developing them, to curating and compiling manuscripts.

This forum is expected to foster broader interaction between authors and the public, while also inspiring a new generation of writers.

This launch is projected to bring together two major trends in literature: intellectual reflection on changing times and poetic testimony to human experience. (***)
