Ma’had Al Zaytun Wins Two Best Madrasah Awards in Indramayu, Ministry of Religious Affairs Emphasizes Sustainable Achievement
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM— Ma’had Al Zaytun affirmed its position as one of Indonesia’s leading educational centers after winning two Best Madrasah awards at the Outstanding Madrasah Awards held by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indramayu Regency. The awards were presented directly by the Head of the Indramayu Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dr. H. Aghuts Muhaimin, on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Indramayu Ministry of Religious Affairs Field, Jalan Olahraga Number 3, Indramayu.
The two awards were earned by MTsS Al Zaytun and MAS Al Zaytun, at the Private Junior High School (MTs) and Private Senior High School (MTs) levels, respectively, based on the Madrasah Principal Performance Assessment (PKKM), which was conducted comprehensively and competitively across all madrasahs in Indramayu Regency.
Two Strategic Awards for Ma’had Al Zaytun
In the Private Junior High School category, MTsS Al Zaytun achieved a score of 96, the highest and equal to MTs Ma’arif Miftahul Huda Lempuyang, which also achieved a score of 96, out of a total of 79 private MTs in Indramayu Regency.
Meanwhile, in the Private Senior High School category, MAS Al Zaytun achieved a score of 92, outperforming 31 other private Senior High Schools in Indramayu Regency.
This achievement makes Ma’had Al Zaytun the only institution to achieve two best madrasah awards at two strategic levels, Junior High School and Senior High School, in a single assessment year.

In addition to Ma’had Al Zaytun, the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Indramayu also recognized other high-achieving madrasahs at each level of education:
Raudhatul Athfal (RA)
The award was received by RA Nurul Hidayah Dukuh Jeruk with a score of 93, out of a total of 160 RAs in Indramayu Regency.
Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI)
MIN 1 Indramayu received a score of 90 as the Best Public MI, out of 5 MINs in Indramayu Regency.
MIS GUPPI Teluk Agung received a score of 95 as the Best Private MI, out of 153 MIS in Indramayu Regency.
Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs)
MTsN 4 Indramayu received a score of 98 as the Best Public MTs, out of 13 MTsN in Indramayu Regency.
MTsS Al Zaytun and MTs Ma’arif Miftahul Huda Lempuyang each received a score of 96 as the Best Private MTs, out of 79 private MTs in Indramayu Regency.
Madrasah Aliyah (MA)
MAN 1 Indramayu received a score of 93 as the Best Public MA, out of three MANs in Indramayu Regency.
MAS Al Zaytun received a score of 92 as the Best Private MA, out of 31 private MAs in Indramayu Regency.
National Achievement Appreciation
On the same occasion, the Indramayu Ministry of Religious Affairs also presented awards to madrasah personnel who had achieved nationally:
Thalia Nur Afwan, a student at MTsN 7 Indramayu, as the 2026 National Mathematics Olympiad Champion.
The Principal of MTs Darul Falah Bongas, as the 2026 National Marching Skills Competition (LKBB).
Ministry of Religious Affairs: Achievement Is Not an Instant Result
The Head of the Indramayu Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dr. H. Aghuts Muhaimin, emphasized that this achievement was the result of a long process and continuous work.
“This award is a form of appreciation. This achievement is not a momentary result, but rather the result of continuous hard work. Going forward, it must be maintained, improved, and become an example for other madrasahs in school management,” he emphasized.
The PKKM assessment is conducted at the end of each year, from November 1st to the end of December, assessing the leadership of madrasah principals, institutional management, learning quality, and educational quality achievements.
This event was attended by all high-performing madrasahs, structural officials, and employees within the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indramayu Regency.***
