WHY ARE THE ISLAMIC TRIBES IN MALAYSIA CALLED MALAYS?
By: Hamly Hadi
(Historical Observer)
The answer, namely to make Malays more visible than TAMIL and CHINESE people.
In the Hujung Medini peninsula during the Malacca kingdom, only royal people were called Malays because only royal people came from Malay lands on the island of Sumatra, while the people were local people from the Hujung Medini peninsula who did not call themselves Malays, because they were Cambodian Funan people who were former people of the Langkasuka and Kedah Tua kingdoms, Cambodian Khmer people who were former people of the Gangga Negara kingdom, Vietnamese people in Kelantan and Terengganu and the Aseli tribe.
The people of the Hujung Medini peninsula began to be called Malays since the time of the Johor kingdom. On the orders of the Sultan of Johor, all Muslim tribes on the Hujung Medini peninsula were called Malays, with the aim of making Malays appear more numerous than TAMIL and CHINESE people.
The Pattani people (Siamese), the Champa people (Vietnam), the Funanese and Khmer (Cambodians), the Javanese, the Malays from Sumatra, the Bugis, the Banjar people, the Minang people, the Acehnese on the Hujung Medini peninsula are all called Malays because they are Muslim… But the ORIGINAL PEOPLE are not called Malay people because they are not Muslim.
This FORGERY OF IDENTITY has made history in Malaysia chaotic, Malaysians don’t know where they come from.**
