From Gratitude to a New Leap: Al-Zaytun Community Learning Center Plans Steps After Achieving an A (Excellent) Grade

INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – Saturday, December 27, 2025, was more than just a year-end date. That day, the Al-Zaytun Community Learning Center meeting room witnessed how gratitude met with a determination to continue improving. The even-semester curriculum socialization meeting was combined with preparations for a slametan (prayer) for the A (Excellent) grade achieved as a result of the 2025 reaccreditation, a reflective and strategic moment.

A total of 44 participants attended: tutors, representatives of Package A, B, and C students. They came not only to celebrate the achievement, but to ensure that it was not a peak that would lead to complacency, but rather a stepping stone to leap even higher.

Gratitude That Doesn’t Stop at the Ceremony

The event opened at 10:15 a.m. WIB with a collective recitation of the Basmalah (the basmalah). The solemn atmosphere flowed simply, without fanfare, but full of meaning. The A Excellence predicate achieved by all educational packages is fully recognized as the result of collective effort: the hard work of tutors, the perseverance of the students, and the synergy of management.

In his opening remarks, Hartono, S.Pd. (Secretary of the Al-Zaytun Community Learning Center), the meeting leader, expressed his respect and gratitude to all parties who had contributed. However, his main message was clear: state recognition must be reciprocated with continuous quality improvement. Accreditation is not a final goal, but a long-term commitment.

Slametan: Tradition, Prayer, and Values Education

As an expression of gratitude, the Al-Zaytun Community Learning Center (PKBM) is planning a slametan (celebration celebration) for Saturday, January 3, 2026, in the basement of the Ali Ibnu Thalib Building. This event is designed not to be merely a ceremony, but rather a meeting place for various stakeholders, including those from education, local government, community leaders, and the media.

The presence of stakeholders is planned to unite behind a single goal: strengthening a dignified non-formal education ecosystem. The arts of the students will be showcased, not merely as entertainment, but as an expression of growing self-confidence and creativity. Even consumption matters are managed collectively, a lesson in living mutual cooperation, not a slogan.

Curriculum as the Breath of Civilization

Getting to the heart of the meeting, the discussion of the even semester curriculum was the focus. Packages A and C will use the 2013 Curriculum, while Package B will implement the Independent Curriculum. However, what makes it unique is the direction of curriculum integration: Law, Science, Technology, Art, Engineering, Mathematics, and Spirituality (LSTEAMS).

Tutors are encouraged not to simply teach subjects, but to weave them into one breath of civilization. Education should not be fragmented. It must be relevant, contextual, and down-to-earth, aligned with national values, science, and spirituality.

Learning to Live: Entrepreneurship as a Path to Empowerment

The fields of entrepreneurship and marketing affirm their position as a bridge between the learning space and the realities of life. Non-formal education, it is emphasized, must boldly address the real needs of learners.

The entrepreneurship program is designed comprehensively: from development, mentoring, business incubation, business unit management, marketing, partnerships, and evaluation. All of this is only possible with true collaboration between tutors, students, and stakeholders.

This is where education finds its social face: learning to be independent, learning to be empowered.

A Strengthening Dialogue and Closing

The question and answer session was dynamic, discussing the technical aspects of the slametan implementation and the readiness of each element. The lively discussion demonstrated a strong sense of belonging to the PKBM.

The event concluded with a collective prayer of thanksgiving (hamdalah). Simple, yet meaningful, it reflected an important message: great education always stems from humility to continuously learn and improve.

PKBM Al-Zaytun has achieved an A Excellence. But more importantly, it is preparing for the next leap, with gratitude, vision, and collaborative effort.***
