PNIB Holds Nusantara Cultural Parade and Red White Parade in Yogyakarta

YOGYAKARTA-JAYA NEWS.COM – For the umpteenth time, the cultural city of Yogyakarta hosted a red and white parade by the interfaith, traditional, and diversity organization, the United Indonesian Archipelago Fighters (PNIB). The 2.5-kilometer parade took place on Sunday morning, November 16, 2025, from the courtyard of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) building to the zero kilometer mark in front of the Yogyakarta Agung Palace.

Approximately 500 participants from various segments of society participated.

The nationalist demonstration, titled “Red and White Parade and Nusantara Cultural Parade,” featured a 3 x 300-meter red and white flag parade. It was accompanied by various artistic and traditional performances, such as the bergodo (traditional dance), gedruk (a traditional dance), and barongsai (a lion dance).

“We are truly blessed to be able to gather today in this cultural and traditional city of Yogyakarta. Communities from Papua, Madura, Kalimantan, Maluku, Sulawesi, and various other regions are present. They are all escorting the red and white flag. Various cross-cultural traditional arts performances include Bergodo, gedruk, palace soldiers, and lion dances. Representatives of five religions are also present, enhancing the unity in diversity,” explained AR Waluyo Wasis Nugroho (Gus Wal), Chairman of the National Institute of National Education (PNIB), the event’s initiator and the initiator of the designation of November 16th as National Tolerance Day.

All participants in the parade agreed to declare November 16th as National Tolerance Day. They urged the government to more seriously investigate acts of intolerance stemming from differences, as intolerance is the seed and seed of the birth of anarchist, radical, and terrorist caliphate.

“PNIB and everyone present today are not just ranting about their love for the Republic of Indonesia on social media. We are taking concrete action, not to go viral, but to spread the spirit of tolerance and diversity on a massive scale. We will be in Surabaya on November 30th and Jakarta on November 14th. We are spreading the virus of tolerance,” said Gus Wal.

At the end of the event, PNIB and Gus Wal, along with 40 Papuan students, PNIB members, and attendees, declared that Papua will forever be Red and White, Papua will forever be Pancasila, Papua will forever be Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and Papua will forever belong to Indonesia. NKRI is a non-negotiable price.*
