INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – Commemorating National Heroes’ Day 2025, the SDN 1 Bunder Technical Implementation Unit, Widasari District, Indramayu Regency, held an activity titled “Brave Student Literacy” on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
This activity included Student Literacy Socialization, Interactive Student Dialogue, and Educational Games aimed at developing students’ character to be brave, intelligent, and resilient in facing the changing times.

In his remarks, the Principal of SDN 1 Bunder, Rokhman, S.Pd., stated that the spirit of Heroes’ Day should inspire the younger generation. “Emulating heroes is not only about remembering their struggles, but also about how we apply the values of courage, responsibility, and fighting spirit in our lives today. In this digital era, our challenges are different, but our fighting spirit must remain the same,” he said.

This activity also received support from the Indramayu Community Literacy Volunteers (Relima), who attended through the Relima Goes to School program, bringing their Electric Motorcycle Mobile Library (Pusmolis) from the S16 Library.
Casyanto, a school representative, expressed his pride in the visit. “We are honored to have Relima Goes to School visiting us, bringing the Pusmolis from the S16 Library. This is a new experience for our students, bringing them closer to the world of literacy,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Khoeri, M.Pd., a speaker from Relima Indramayu, emphasized the importance of literacy as a gateway to knowledge. “Literacy is a source of information and knowledge that connects us to the past, present, and future. Through literacy, students can understand history, make sense of current conditions, and prepare themselves for the future,” he explained.

On the same occasion, Tarkidin, an administrator of the S16 Library, also highlighted the importance of courage in today’s students. “Motivating students to be brave isn’t as easy as it used to be. Now they tend to compare things without considering cause and effect. Therefore, a more creative approach is needed to maintain their enthusiasm for learning and their courage to stand out,” he explained.

One of the students, Nazar Paratama, expressed his delight at participating in this activity. “We are very happy to be able to read, play, and learn about the struggles of national heroes in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty. This activity makes us more enthusiastic about learning and bolder about stepping forward,” he said.

Through the Brave Student Literacy activity, the spirit of the heroes’ struggle is rekindled in the students of SDN 1 Bunder. They are encouraged to think critically, act positively, and be ready to face the future with a strong spirit of literacy.**
