Sheila On 7, an alternative rock band from Yogyakarta, is back in the spotlight after reportedly charging Rp 1 billion for a single performance, up from the previous Rp 370 million. This fee increase was revealed by a netizen on Twitter after they replaced The 1975 at the 2023 WTF event.

Sheila On 7 has undergone several lineup changes throughout its career. They originally formed on May 6, 1996, with Eross, Duta, Adam, Sakti, and Anton. However, Anton was released in 2004, Sakti in 2006, and Brian Kresna Putro in 2022.
Sheila on 7’s achievements include the release of several successful albums, including “Sheila on 7” (1999), “A Classical Story for the Future” (2000), and “07 Des” (2002). They are also known as one of the first Indonesian bands to sell more than 1 million copies of their first three albums.
The album “A Classical Story for the Future” topped Billboard Malaysia’s World Hits Albums chart.
Sheila on 7 members Eross, Duta, and Adam, along with former member Sakti, performed Umrah together in December 2024.
