The BPMI Has Returned Diana Valencia’s Palace Coverage Card
JAKARTA-JAYA NEWS.COM – The return of the identity card was carried out directly by the Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, on Monday, September 29, 2025.
Prof. Dr. KH. Sutan Nasomal, SE, SH, MH, along with national media leaders, expressed their deepest gratitude to the BPMI Presidential Palace and to Prof. Dr. Komarudin Hidayat, as Chairman of the National Press Council, for their remarkable initiative, which prevented the revocation of Palace ID cards for journalists.
“Hopefully, Prof. Dr. Komarudin Hidayat’s hard work as Chairman of the Press Council will not stop there. There are still many important tasks awaiting his attention, especially regarding various major cases that have revoked PRESS FREEDOM,” said Prof. Dr. Nasomal addressed media editors-in-chief in Jakarta on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
Sutan continued, calling for no more journalists imprisoned or intimidated while carrying out their duties.
No more journalists murdered or having their homes burned down.
No more journalists evicted or beaten while covering news.
No more individuals in government agencies insulting or expelling journalists from any government institution.
No more private institutions, whether companies or hospitals, belittling journalists’ duties.
No more brutal attacks and intimidation while carrying out their duties, whether on public roads or in journalists’ private homes. This has already happened and led to near-fights.
