Improving Personal Quality Through Literacy on the Exemplary Life of the Prophet Muhammad
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – To commemorate the Islamic holiday of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (Maulid Nabi) 1447 AH, the Nurul Huda Mosque in Kedokanbunder Wetan held a celebration of the Prophet’s birthday on Thursday evening, September 18, 2025. The event took place at the Nurul Huda Mosque, Truwali Block, Kedokanbunder Wetan Village, Kedokanbunder District, Indramayu Regency, from 6:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time) after Maghrib prayers until finished.
The event, themed “Improving Personal Quality Through Literacy on the Exemplary Life of the Prophet Muhammad,” featured speaker Kang Ahmad Khoeri, M.Pd., also known as the manager of the S16 Library and a Community Literacy Volunteer (Relima) at the National Library of Indonesia, Lokus Indramayu. In addition to the recitation, the event was further enlivened by a performance by Hadroh Nurul Huda.
This activity was made possible thanks to the support of various parties, including the Nurul Huda Truwali Mosque Youth, the Truwali Library in Kedokanbunder Wetan, the S16 and Relima Indramayu Libraries, and the PAC IPNU-IPPNU Kedokanbunder.
In his sermon, Kang Ahmad Khoeri emphasized the importance of emulating the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). “As followers of the Prophet, we must be intelligent individuals, take care of ourselves, and always strive to have good morals,” he said.
Akhidi, a member of the Nurul Huda Truwali Mosque, also delivered a profound message of gratitude. “A child should be grateful to still be guided and nurtured by their parents. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was an orphan from childhood, but he continued to grow up to be a role model for all mankind,” he said.
Meanwhile, Manaji, an elder of the Truwali Block, expressed his appreciation for the event. He emphasized that activities like this should always be supported. “Today’s youth must emulate the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to become a strong and well-mannered generation,” he said.
Sendi Listianto, Chair of the PAC IPNU Kedokanbunder, also shared his views on the younger generation. “Students and youth must study diligently so that the people of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) can face this challenging era,” he said.
The celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday at the Nurul Huda Mosque in Truwali is an important opportunity for the community to improve themselves through literacy and strengthen their love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).**
