Fifth-semester students in the Javanese Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Languages ​​and Arts (FBS), Semarang State University (UNNES), held an engaging Micro-Teaching course (September 16, 2025). The topic covered the practice of opening and closing lessons at school.

Opening a lesson is an activity teachers undertake to create an atmosphere of mental readiness and attentiveness in students. According to Nur Fateah, several ways teachers can open a lesson are:

– *Learning Summary*: Teachers can summarize the main points discussed during the lesson to remind students.
– *Link to Learning Objectives*: Teachers can link back to the learning objectives and explain how the lesson helped achieve them.
– *Student Evaluation*: Teachers can use questions or brief discussions to gauge student understanding.
