FKUB Jombang Conducts Interfaith Visits to Strengthen Religious Harmony
JOMBANG-JAYA NEWS.COM – The Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) of Jombang Regency organized visits to various interfaith places of worship in an effort to strengthen harmony among religious communities in the region. The visits included mosques, churches, temples, Buddhist monasteries, and Hindu temples throughout Jombang Regency.
FKUB Jombang Chairman H.M. Munif Khusnan, S.H., M.Si., explained that this activity is part of joint efforts between FKUB and local government to strengthen interfaith harmony in Jombang.
“FKUB, together with the government, continues to work toward strengthening religious harmony in Jombang. Visits to various places of worship represent one concrete step we are taking and constitute part of our work program,” stated Munif Khusnan during his visit to the GBIS Christ the Helper Church in Blimbing, Gudo, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
The interfaith visit initiative aims to enhance mutual understanding and tolerance among religious communities. Through direct dialogue and interaction, organizers hope to foster improved communication between various religious communities in Jombang.
Meanwhile, H. Didik Tondo Susilo S.H., M.Si., Vice Chairman of FKUB Jombang, emphasized the importance of the “3C” principle in maintaining harmonious religious life.
“In religious life, we must focus on three important elements: communication, contribution, and community service. These three aspects serve as keys to building genuine harmony,” explained Didik.
He added that effective communication among religious communities will create deeper understanding of both differences and commonalities. Meaningful contributions from each religious community are necessary for collective welfare, while positive works will serve as tangible evidence of established harmony.
This interfaith visit program is expected to serve as a model for other regions in building tolerance and interfaith harmony.
FKUB Jombang remains committed to developing similar programs to maintain peace and unity amid Jombang’s diverse community.
