TISI Will Echo the Literature of Island Children and the Voice of Mothers at PDS HB Jasin
JAKARTA-JAYA NEWS.COM – Taman Inspirasi Sastra Indonesia (TISI) will innovate by attracting the public to come and participate in literary discussions through book and cash prizes.
“Participating in indoor literary discussions, come and get knowledge, go home and get book and cash prizes. TISI will start attracting the public, both the general public and the literary community. Basically, TISI is always looking for a new audience for literature. Let’s exchange ideas in literature,” said Octavianus Masheka, Chairperson of Taman Inspirasi Sastra Indonesia (TISi) in a press statement in Jakarta, Wednesday morning (11/06/2025).
He said this in connection with the event “Three Days with Taman Inspirasi Sastra Indonesia” starting from June 19, 2025 to June 21, 2025. Taman Inspirasi Sastra Indonesia will hold a literary book launch activity in the form of a poetry anthology. Will give a welcoming speech at both events, namely the Head of the DKI Provincial Library and Archives Service (the new-ed) Nasruddin Djoko Surjono.
The Joint Bilingual Anthology entitled “Mother Tongue, My Blood Language” (16th TISI production) and the Joint Anthology Book entitled “Swara swara Anak Pulau Ahli Heirs Sah Republik Indonesia” (17th TISI production) continued with a discussion via zoom screen (online) and directly (offline).
“Especially for offline discussions, there will be prizes in the form of cash and books for those who can answer questions given by the committee,” said Bung Octa.
The online discussion (zoom screen) for the launch of the joint poetry anthology book “Swara-Swara Anak Pulau or Ahli Heirs Sah Republik Indonesia” will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 19.15 WIB.
Meanwhile, the live discussion (offline) will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 starting at 14.15 WIB in the PDS HB.Jassin Hall, 4th Floor, Ali Sadikin Building, Jakarta Arts Center (PKJ) at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) Jakarta, with the theme “Reality and Dreams of Island Children Today”.
Octavianus Masheka, who is also known as a poet, continued, the launch and discussion of the Bilingual poetry anthology book “Bahasa Ibu dan Bahasa Darahku” will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, starting at 14.15 WIB in the PDS HB Jassin Hall.
Meanwhile, in his letter to the Head of the Jakarta Library Management Unit and PDS.HB.Jassin, Diki Lukman Hakim said that the basic idea is that the facilities and education received by island children are not evenly distributed, so the Taman Inspirasi Sastra Indonesia (TISI) community – which has 1,200 members throughout Indonesia – offers to provide input to the government in the form of a poem entitled “Swaraswara Anak Pulau (Legitimate Heirs of the Republic of Indonesia).
“The goal is to remind the government that equitable development and education have not been evenly distributed by the Indonesian people,” said Octavianus Masheka.
The speakers for this event were Octavianus Masheka (Chairman of TISI), Eka Budianta (Poet and Cultural Figure) and Prof. Nurhayati Syairuddin (Professor of FIB Unhas).
Meanwhile, with the basic idea of the extinction of 11 Regional Languages in North Maluku and East Nusa Tenggara, the Taman Inspirasi Sastra Indonesia (TISI) Community Inspiration of Indonesian Literature was also moved to voice this issue through the poetry of Indonesian poets.
The goal is to preserve the mother tongue which is presented in the form of a joint poetry anthology “Mother Tongue, My Blood Language”.
With speakers Octavianus Masheka (Chairman of TISI), Eva Yenita Syam (Language Agency) and Dr. Yoseph Yapi Taum (Dean of the Faculty of Letters, USD Jogya).
