Spirituality is a quiet path to the abode of God far from the hustle and bustle, let alone just a sensation to gain popularity, or a kind of lustful desire to gain cheap popularity. Because the basics of spirituality can only be done with humility, honesty and sincerity not for anyone, except for the glory of oneself and the good of others without expecting any reward in any form.
The measure of honesty and sincerity from the depths of the heart is immeasurable because it is a requirement that cannot be bargained or negotiated in any way. So that in the dimension of spirituality it can be understood as a definite number. Therefore, spirituality is far above even the most brilliant intellectuality. Because intellectuality does not provide a guarantee to be steadfast and obedient to ethics, morals and noble morals that must be possessed and continuously maintained by every human being, in order to distinguish themselves from other creatures of God. Because humans are nobler than Angels, let alone compared to other creatures that live in the wilderness.
In this context, humans can be understood and realized as khalifatullah — God’s representative — on earth. Then why should humans downgrade the degree and dignity of their noble human values, just by ignoring the spiritual dimension they possess, as other creatures of God do not possess?
The concern of the Indonesian nation today is the uprooting of the soul from the body, the detachment of the mind and reasoning from the heart, the loss of the spirit, soul and sense of human love that is inhumane because it is lulled by the world. The human body is separated from the soul. The decline of ethics, morals and ethics in the nation has made the people increasingly miserable.
The damage to the soul in the body, is getting worse until corruption is rampant, abuse and power are increasingly frightening. All directions of the future are very dependent on the good intentions of leaders who must not be selfish, cannot prioritize personal desires, groups, let alone dynasties. Then should the people remain silent, if the leaders continue to act cunningly?
A wise choice of attitude is not to let patience run out and pour out anger that can never be predicted in the end. Because we all do not want to solve it by creating new problems that may be much more difficult to cure like the tragedy that once happened.
Therefore, the movement to awaken spiritual awareness and understanding to restrain oneself through a noble ethical, moral and moral order, is necessary and increasingly urgent to do, before it becomes a late regret. Because the rotation of time cannot be returned.
